Your trial is an opportunity to meet me face to face and have a ‘practise run’ of your make up prior to your wedding day. It is also a chance for you to get an idea of what the makeup will look like in your photographs and assess how the prodcuts wear on your skin throughout the day in case any adjustments need to be made.

A full make up trial usually lasts around 2 hours.

Your trial will take place at my treatment room and will include:

> CONSULTATION Includes a discussion about any skin concerns and makeup preferences you might have.

> FOUNDATION MATCHING

Selecting a foundation that works with your skin type, texture, and colouring.

> FULL TRIAL RUN OF BRIDAL MAKEUP

We will experiment with different colours and styles until we find a bespoke combination which is perfect for you. You will also choose from a range of false lashes to add the finishing touch.

> SCHEDULING FOR WEDDING DAY

Together we will agree a schedule for your wedding day.

> PAYMENT OF DEPOSIT

​You will be asked to pay a 25% deposit to secure your booking.

Throughout your trial I will take photographs of your make up and note down the products we have used so that I can refer back to them on your wedding day or if any adjustments need to be made for you.

Being prepared for your trial will ensure you get the most out of it. In order to prepare myself I will ask you to send me a make up free photograph in advance of your trial to help me assess which products, colours, and styles will be best suited to you. Here are some things you can do to prepare:

> TAKE INSPIRATION

Collect pictures of make up looks that you like and bring them with you on the day of your trial. We can use them as inspiration for your bespoke bridal look.

> MAKE A DECISION ON FALSE TAN

If you know you will be wearing false tan on your wedding day, it is advised that you also wear it for your trial. This is because the same products appear differently on different skin tones.

> CONSIDER YOUR CLOTHING

Any comfortable clothes are suitable to wear for your trial, but you may want to consider the colour and/or neckline of your top. (Some brides choose to wear white with a similar neckline to their wedding dress to get a fuller picture of the overall look.)

> IDENTIFY YOUR FAVOURITE PRODUCTS

You don't need to bring anything to your trial as I have everything we will need in my kit, but if you have a favourite make up product (e.g. lipstick) that you know you want to wear on your wedding day, you are more than welcome to bring it with you and I will incorporate it into your bridal look.

> ON THE DAY OF YOUR TRIAL Follow these steps...

1. Follow your usual skincare routine (e.g. cleanse, tone, moisturise) before setting off to your trial. 2. Don't wear make up - we will need a blank canvas to work on!

3. Arrive promptly for your trial to ensure maximum appointment time.

In order to provide a calm, relaxed atmosphere for the bridal party on your wedding morning, I allocate 1 hour to each bridesmaid and 1 hour 15 minutes to the bride to allow for any unplanned interruptions.

Due to these timings there is a limit to how many people I can work on including the bride on the day. If you have a larger bridal party I may be able to bring an additional make-up artist on board to work with me (but please be aware they will charge their own fees).

On the day of your wedding, I am happy to travel to your location. 20 miles of travel is included in the price of the bridal package you have chosen. If you live further away, additional travel is charged at 45 pence per mile and will be added on to your final payment.
